I've never had a Castello either new or used. Tobaccheria Corti had one last 55 for a very good price---couldn't resist. Only took 3 days from Italy to Oregon. Don't know when I'll get a chance to break it in but hope it turns out a winner. Here's the pics. Hoppes

That is a masterpiece my friend. You literally couldn’t do better than a sea rock 55 for your first Castello. Congrats. Go slow breaking it in.

I sure hope you'll get a chance to break it in! (and that phrase was a typo!)

Yep, everyone needs an iconic Shape 55. I saw that one listed, heck of of a deal. Getting my mitt around the Sea Rock finish is always satisfying. The great thing about Castellos is no matter the grade, they all smoke wonderfully (by my experience)

Good looking pipe, sir.
If you're to have a Castello, the 55 makes a great starter.

Got a good case of pipe envy workin' now, after seeing that one! Nice choice!

Thanks for posting the pix, and for giving us some insight into delivery time.

I don't think you can go wrong. Cas' owners seem universally well-pleased.

The walnut stain is my favorite Sea Rock. The fact that it's stamped with a "C" for Tobaccheria Corti makes it unique and special.
