I've been drooling over nording pipes for a while now... I wish I had extra money to drop on one. It's a nice looking pipe. Not really a fan of the natural briar but hope you get some nice smokes out of it.

Boz:
I hope your beautiful new Nording gives you as much pleasure as mine has given me.
Erik Nording makes some of the finest, most readily affordable burners in the world.
Enjoy yours, pard.

Anthony just got one of those as well.
Yes I did, and I'm loving it! That's a nice looking one, Boz :) I'm seriously considering another one... trying so hard not to spend more money on a pipe, but daaaaaaaaang if I don't love those freehands! Enjoy it!

Anthony,
While we are crossing over on our Nording's through different threads, I was wondering where you purchased yours and for how much?
Boz, same question to you. That is a beauty you got there. What are you smoking in it to break her in? How does she smoke?
I got mine at my B&M for $90, but I had a $50 gift certificate from my in laws :puffy:

Thanks guys,
Its going to be an English only for me, the day i got it i smoked an English blend that the tobacconist had but I have some SL that I'm going to smoke sometime soon, even after the first smoke it has started to pick up color. This is one of those pipes that just kept eating away at the back of my mind so I finally gave in.
Yazamitaz,

I got it at a local tobacconist in North Carolina for $100, he had other Signature Freehands (and some for less money) but this one was it for me. As I stated earlier it's an English only so that will be my break in as well. This is my eye opener pipe 8O it smoke so well compared to my first pipe, I can actually taste the English tobacco now.

I'll double check when I get home tonight Yaz, but I think mine was 83 bucks at Smokingpipes.com.
Boz, mine was pretty much the same. I noticed a pretty significant difference after the first smoke in it's appearance. Watching it darken is going to be half the fun with that pipe.
In reply to the other thread, Yaz, it is my largest pipe by far. And to think I was considering a Nording Giant freehand 8O You could probably use one of those as a baseball bat. And because I'm so proud of the one I have, here are pictures again lol

Boz - that is DEFINITELY an eye opener and I am sure you will get many looks when you have that baby burning. That is great to hear that she smokes well and you can really taste the tobacco. I am sure you will get a LOT of miles outta that one.
Anth - LOVING the pipe porn thought process :worship:

Anthony,
If I saw that one in the shop it would have been a harder choice, quite handsome.
Lol I feel about the same. Yours has a cool shape to it, almost like it could double as a weapon of medieval bloodletting with that little hook on the bottom. You should raise the pipe high and scream out some kind of battle cry... no really, just once... to see what it feels like.
glad you like the pipe porn Yaz. Lol

Guys:
If you ever get the opportunity to meet Erik Nording, do it.
Even if it means you have to drive 500 miles one way - just go. He's wonderfully approachable, chatty as hell and loves to talk pipes and tobaccos.
More importantly, why wouldn't you want to meet that guy who made the burner you stick into your cakehole several times a week?
