Most hard hats are actually helmets. While at an equipment dealer in Lexington, KY I saw one that was actually a hard hat. I bought it for the amusement value.

The logo on the front is Smith and Wesson.

After spending 27 years working construction and wearing hard hats--I hate hard hats! That's a cool hat,but I still wouldn't want to wear it! Be neat hanging on the wall though!

I work construction and live in the Texas panhandle. Believe it or not these are fairly common around here. First time I've seen one with a hat band though. I like it!!

I own a demolition company and a small construction company so hard hats are a necessary part of my every day wardrobe. I have seen these before and I have to admit, I want one. This post was just the kind of reminder I needed. My boys work hard because this is hard work for the kind of men that can do hard work. I do feel like the fearless leader at times and in the spirit of Robert Duvall's Character Bill Killgore in Apocalypse Now I do want to start sporting the Cavalry style hard hat.
