Was posting with NevadaBlue about a pipe he showed with horrible burnout, that he jokingly (unbeknownst to me) that he repaired it . . I bought 500+ pipes to restore. Ended up fixing up 40 or so , from Really bad conditions. some are fantastic smokers . thought I'd show the most severe problem I fixed , hope to see your best SAVE too.

Used fireplace cement, wood putty and a lot of love . Smokes great .
I only went thru the hassle cause the pipe was unique

the rest are in a box
my collecting interests changed . Not that interested in restoring , although I haven't tried the new buffing wheel I have.
My pipe repairs are more educational for the more expensive newer pipes i possess. Learned a lot about pipes by PLAYING with junkiest pipes .

Right on, man! Love it. Makes me wish I had searched harder for the parts of my Bari after the lawnmower had its way with it. http://pipesmagazine.com/forums/topic/bari-special-handcut-vs-lawnmower
