I finally took the plunge and bought a pair of Ardors. I've never bought a new, "high-end" briar before, having never been willing to part with that much cash when I could hit the estate market. Having decided to spoil myself, however, I finally decided upon Ardors based in part on their reputation as excellent smokers as well as the fact that I love their aesthetics.
Anyhow, here's some pics of the new pipes. I cannot wait to break these things in, obviously, but for the moment I'm happy just admiring the craftsmanship involved. I don't have a great camera that would show what I'm talking about, so trust me when I say the rustication on these is incredible.
