My 14 year old daughter took first place in a 5K this summer. She only recently started running. My oldest daughter and I walked it. You get the funniest stares from folks when you smoke pipes at these events. No one said no smoking was allowed and I only smoked before and after I did the walk.

Congrats to you and your daughter.
I know the looks your talking about, My daughter raced Mountain bikes for years and at these events all the granola eating tree huggers that attended these events would just about kill you with their glare if you lit up at all.

Well done!!! My girl is nine and last year I took her out halloweening and I smoked a pipe while walking her house to house. I had several strange looks and one of her friends told me I had a bad popeye costume. Lol
