Hmmm... hard to judge a genre I generally don't listen to as much anymore. I would have to go with that specific song by LA Guns, but I havent heard much more of the other band besides what you posted. I'll check em out more!

A genre I never really got into, but as far as judging the 2 tracks...I actually like the love/hate track more than the L.A. Guns track.

My favorite hair band, my hometown boys, "The Kix". I've been seeing these guys since I was 16, when I had to sneak in a friends fathers tavern (now gone). We still go to church with the lead singer, Steve Whitman, he's a good catholic boy. He kept his voice after all these years and still puts on a hell of a stage show.
During the break in Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, he mentions a now gone Hagerstown landmarks, "The Geisha House" (where he can get it for free...), an infamous "massage parlor" that was in our downtown during the 80's.
A great live band that never quite clicked nationally.

They made a few music videos as well, typical 80's cheezy!
Seeing the original drummer made me laugh. I got into a fight with him over a girl at a club. Drummers aren't too tough....guess who went home with the chick?

This one was shot in downtown Baltimore and at "Hammerjacks" the rock club in Charm City at the time. Good times there. I just saw a girl yesterday, who used to work at my restaurant. She danced in a cage at Hammerjacks on the weekends. She now has four kids...and I don't light my hair on fire anymore, what hair???

Sorry for hijacking the thread on my trip down memory lane....Goodness, has it really been 30 years?

Okay, if we're going to have a discussion about Hair Metal/Glam Rock, we cannot forget to mention Ratt and the only music video in which Milton Berle ever appeared:

I can't help but following up with this little tidbit of history. I knew the guys from this band, and although they tried like hell to bury their past, I have no problem rubbing salt in the wound.
For all the heavy metal fans out there, remember Pantera? Yeah, pretty hard core right? Example:

Well folks, here's what they started out doing. Glamerific!:

I loved Darrell Abbott to death. He was an amazing talent and a really nice guy (even when sober). Losing him to such a completely stupid act was a travesty. But these guys had the nerve to badmouth Metallica for posing with Load/Reload? Always makes me giggle a bit.
And yes I ribbed them every chance I got about it.

I have something to contribute to this out of control train ride. One of my favorite metal oldies:

Ha! I was an artist rep for one of the major drum companies in the early 90's, (had a front row seat to the death of Glam Metal...), so I have a soft spot in my heart for all of the above. That said, once Cajunguy mentioned Ratt, it was all over!
