Hi all, I'm fairly new to the whole scene, and have read through a lot of different post on here. Seems like a great online community. The other day I bought a Murray Frame and Love estate pipe on ebay. I've look a good bit around the internet and can't find much of any information on this pipe maker. I know that they were purchased by a larger company and I read an article about how the original tobacconist closed back in 2007. Anyone have any links or info. I'd really like to be able to date the pipe. Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard!
According to Jose Manuel Lopes in his 2005 book titled, "Pipes - Artisans and Trademarks," Murray-Frame & Love is an, "English brand from the company of the same name, today part of Cadogan. The brand is still produced."
I hope that you find this information to be useful.
Good Luck, and Good Smoking!

Here is the article that I was referring to

http://www.heraldscotland.com/last-smokers-paradise-closes-1.828258
And one for sale http://www.vkpipes.com/pipes-showroom/murray-frame-love
The language of the seller makes me think that there may be some way to date the pipe.

Interesting and sad. I had not heard of this shop.

That is a very attractive and British bent billiard. The detail on the tenon is very nice. Priced at $63, if I were in the UK, I'd grab that one.
