Spent some time this morning smoking some 3 year old Bobs Chocolate Flake.
I went to the garage where it was a bit chilly and relaxed in my smoking chair.
After the initial light was complete I noticed a very slight Lakeland essence that quickly disappeared. The essence was quite muted and was pleasant as was the taste of quality Virginia tobacco. The three years of aging had done its magic. After the first quarter of the bowl was when the chocolate taste began to come through, like the smell of faintly sweet but rich chocolate cake, very nice. The chocolate taste continued for quite some time as the taste of Virginias began to come through a little more toward the bottom of the bowl. I did not notice any heavy Latakia element as Bobs is supposed to have a bit mixed in the blend. It may be just enough to add to the depth of the chocolate taste.
Overall a great cooler weather smoke.
