Congratulations, Mustang!
Mr. Tinsky is a true artist. Love that blast and the ferrule is superb! Too bad I don't see any rubber stems; he seems to work with Lucite exclusively.
-
Yes I would prefer a rubber stem as well but I overlook that when the rest is so beautiful. I'm only a clencher for a moment or two anyway so isn't as much of an issue for me as it is for those that clench all the time.
-
Nothing wrong with Lucite, it certainly has its advantages!
-
Your very welcome, Mustang. Glad I could assist...like you neede my help...lol.
Ive actually been on his site too and have another already picked out but cant do anything about it until I hear back from Uncle Sam.
Congrats! Its a fine piece of briar. May she give you many years of smoking bliss.

Very nice! I know where Im looking for my next PAD Purchase
-
I wish I had that photography talent but that belongs to Mr. Tinsky.
-
Ok, I am new, so its stupid question time, what is the brass ball in the bottom for?
-
But I am drooling also.
Beautiful pipe, Congrats.
-
I noticed that too. Not sure. I have one other Tinsky and it doesn't have that. Maybe it's an optical illusion to hypnotize you into buying his fine briars.
-
The ball appears to be brass because of the gold color of the briar reflecting off of it. Its actually a steel ball that is placed in the bowl to allow for a magnetic pipe stand that uses rare earth magnets to hold the pipe.
-
Ah! I wondered about the ball, too.
I really like the melty look of that ring blast. Awesome piece!
-
Wow!
That is a beautiful Tinsky. Way to go!

Got it today and fired it up with some SG Navy Flake. That was one of the most sweet and tasty smokes I've ever had. It was a joy to smoke. I could not no matter how hard I tried to get that sucker hot. Outstanding pipe!!! I guess I gotta go check out his site for another. Crap.
