I have done quite a few blending experiments. I couldn't wait for some so I fired one up anyway and they were not too bad but I will wait for the rest to meld and see if they improve at all. Today I mixed the following: 1/2C of Red Virginia, 1/4C Virginia Flake, 1/8C Stoved Virginia,1/8C Perique and 1/8C Burley. I put them in a dedicated cake pan and put in the oven at 175. I also put a small dish of distilled H2O in it and put foil over it. I let it go for about an hour then removed to cool. It smell very nice. I then put in on parchment paper and folded it up into a square and clamped it. After an hour I removed it and opened the paper. I folded the cake over itself twice and folded the paper up and put it back in the press. Now to wait a few days maybe longer and see what I come up with.
