Well it started as a love affair with this shape by Paulo Becker done in Morta in a 4 Clubs Grade that I just love looking at and love smoking even more.

After Paulo passed away Dec 2014 I had no knowledge of how much involvement his son Federico Becker had in the family pipe company founded by his grandfather Fritz Becker.
Needless to say the third generation is in good hands and I purchased the same shape made of Olivewood in a 4 Diamonds Grade made by Federico Becker.

A friend on another forum ribbed me stating I needed one in briar to have a whole set. I had seen very few of this shape in briar and checking for any new, or estate, pipes by Paulo Becker proved fruitless but I did find one he made in Strawberrywood in a 3 Clubs Grade.

So the good news is I bought it, the bad news is I still need one in briar for a complete set!

That's a good looker.
I had my eye on it too!

From the Briary yes?
That particular pipe is one of the better looking Mayas to my eye,

great shaping + the strawberry woodgrain is highly interesting.
Great score!
Smoke it well & enjoy!

And damn!

That morta is most precisely excellent.
The whole trio is a jawdropping ensemble!

Lovely. I have one early style Becker and one late. That morta is a beaut. I'm betting the stem is a joy.
