I looked at the bulk sale sheets last night, and realized that the venerable Mixture 79 is going up in price almost 50% in 2017.
Is anyone else stocking up? I'm looking at a 5lb order.

Sutliff hasn't been independent for decades. They were previously owned by Altadis, and before that it was Continental Cigar.

Yeh, I was wondering why much of the MacBaren swag Brian Levine gives away had Sutliff printed on it also.

Yeh, hmmm... Do I need to stock up on 79? Very tempting... it could be hard to get in the near future. :::chuckles:::

Well I guess that would depend on the "type" of apocalypse. If it happened to be zombie, we could just dry them out and smoke them. May taste just as good!

Don't fret. Like Twinkies and cockroaches, Mixture 79 will be the only tobacco to survive the apocalypse.
Also, is this a spoof of the Peterson thread? Or is this price increase confirmed?

You raise the price and a gaggle of pipe smokers will realize that it must be popular and becoming rare to cause the price to rise. Soon secret cellars will be stuffed with this legendary mixture as people hoard it so as to not miss out on the newest penzance unicorn.
