Hello
I'm newer top pipe smoking and wanted to expand my horizons a bit. I was able to find early morning pipe and my mixture from dunhill in bulk. Like them both, then someone at the pipe store suggested this blend. I thoroughly enjoy it, I've purchased a few extra tins to cellar. I was told it was an English, but I really don't taste a great similarity to the above Dunhills. What am I missing,? Did it have less of somthing than the others, are all three pretty comparable? Appreciate your insights.

I think the big differences are that Mississippi River SR has aged flue cured red Virginias and perique.

MRSR is more Virginia forward than most English blends. It's not a good match for the two Dunhill blends you mentioned which both are more Latakia forward IMHO. These definitions of English, Balkan, Oriental, etc. are fairly broad in many cases.
