I am new to this website, but not new to pipes. I have the privilege of being the son in-law of Mike McCain. He was a huge collector of Castello Pipes(Hawkbill). Wanted to get in touch with some of his friends in the pipe community. I have heard many stories from him but wanted to get it from of the fellow pipe brothers out there about my father in law. The two Mikes (your father in law and Mike Davis) were huge factors in increasing the demand for 84’s, which really was a shape we didn’t see very much of before they started showing them off and extolling their virtues.
