I rec'd a message from a new member I friended and found that I don't really know of anyone that can help him with a new stem for an old Meerschaum pipe. I'm not sure if any of the sponsors on the site repair any meer pipes. I've only seen briar related services. Pls Halp. lol
Here's his message:
I’m not so good with pc’s & just trying to find where I can get a replacement for a WWI Kaiser Wilhelm meerschaum pipe stem. Orig. was amber. Nice pipe but would like a new stem @ a reasonable price. can you help me?

I have not used walkerbriarworks yet, but I did notice on his site that he does work on meers. Here is the link. I would send him an email and ask for a quote. He replied to me very quickly when I sent him a few questions.

Found another pipe repair person in my bookmarks:
http://www.norwoodspiperepair.com/

http://clarkpipes.com/?page_id=787 (this is a site sponsor)
I would shoot them an e-mail and see what kind of quote they give you.

This looks like a Storient question, not only is it meer, but also WW1. He started a thread dedicated to WWII pipes.
I also have to believe Fred would know a resource.

Looking for a good outcome to this thread... I have a 1890's pipe that I need a stem 'made for', not

just a repair.

Lol Top,
I would just e-mail all of the above mentioned links of ppl that might be able to help, and link them to this thread, so they can get a good look at the pipe you need a stem made for and ask them for a quote, turnaround time, etc.
Just a thought.
