I have my grandfather's meerschaum. He received from his nephew in the 1960s, who was an USAF pilot flying between the UK and South Viet Nam. On a stop over at one of the USAF bases in Turkey, he bought this pipe in a bazaar and gave it to my grandfather as a gift. My grandfather never smoked it. He thought it was too nice to use.
Inside the box was a paper explaining meer history, care instructions, and so on, plus a company card.
The company card states:
TUSA Collective Company

Incirlik Istihlak Kooperatifi Adana - TURKEY

Phone- 1160
So, I deduce that TUSA was the import/export company.
Is there anyway to find out who they used as carvers?
I'm just looking for a little more history on the pipe.
I suspect that these import/export companies hired anonymous carvers to make pipes and this info is long gone. I've tried Google, but got no luck finding out anything.
The pipe itself is a smooth bent. It has the screw-in tenon and a yellow acrylic bit. I've just started smoking it after being its caretaker for these past 20 years.

Tracking down the legacy of a Meerschaum can be frustrating, as much of the

information is lost. Over the last 300 years, magnificent Meerschaums have

been carved, and no one knows who carved them.
