OK, in one of the forums we got off "TRACK" on Fruit Cake and Meat Loaf recipes... SO here's mine...

    Meat
Oven, Crock Pot or any other cooking devise

Make your MEAT into a loaf & cook until done...

I do have HAM loaf in the Crock Pot right now... It was given to me by my mom today... I figured if the kids don't eat it, the dog's will!

I think it's ground ham, eggs and some seasonings... No crackers or binders...

If you wnat some, I'll send it to ya!

Ham loaf? I like ham but I don't think I could give that a go. I'm mostly Italian so I make my meatloaf like a big meatball with oregano, parmesian, Italian bread crumbs and fresh parsley.

Ham loaf sounds a little strange. I don't know if I would like it. Ham is so good the way it is that I wouldn't want to ground it up to make a loaf.

Every time I think ham loaf, I envision SPAM.

SPAM is some good stuff... Do I need to put SPAM recipes here too! I ate a few cans in the BIG sand BOX, sometimes it was better than the chow hall...;)

Spam sure is big in Hawaii. I am not sure what wine they drink with it. Maybe Merlot.

    1 Lbs Ground Meat (hamburger)
    1 Egg
    1/2 C Ketchup
8 Saltine Crackers (not CLUB Crackers)
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1/4 tsp Black Pepper

    Mix ingredients, with your hands
Press into lightly greased loaf pans
Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
    Uncover and dumb excess drippings
Bake an additional 15 minutes uncovered... Slice and serve

Make excellent sandwitches then next day.

OK, now the reason that you DON'T use CLUB crackers is... It will make it have a DEEP buttery/creamy taste... ask my wife, she did it the first time she made it...

I think the proper wine with Spam is either T bird or the long gone not lamented Ripple.

If at first you don't succeed you are running about average.

A PBR or Old Milwaukee goes great with SPAM.

I'm a fan of PBR and Old Milwaukee. In the last few years, PBR has gained a big following with young hipsters. Supposedly for it's "blue collar" image.

I'm definitely no hipster and don't care about being trendy, but I still like PBR. Another beer my friends used to make fun of me for drinking was Falls City. It disappeared along with Sterling, but they're finally coming back!

I was weaned on Old Mil.

And in college the grocery/convenience store a block from my faternity house sold Old Mil longnecks for $6.99 a case + deposit.

Old Mil is actually quite good beer. Gets mixed up with Milwaukee's Best which is horrid.

By the way Mad Dog Grape and Cherry were common tools of alcohol hazing in which I enthusiastically participated both as the hazee and hazer. It was best when left in a warm oven for an hour or so. And was always best when the hazee had been miode to first eat spaghetti. It would in rare and perfect situations come out of their noses when they puked.

These days it apparently comes in a variety of flavors including blue and yellow.

I won't see any communication directed to me here. I'm no longer active at this forum.
