2008 version still, the ribbon is on 2011 crop which makes me wonder if when the 2008 flake is all gone if there isn't a 2011 flake version next.
Wonderful stuff, McCrainie's! If I weren't stocked with the earlier versions I would pick up some of this.
Based on most recent conversations with the folks at McCranies, if you want to smoke red ribbon or flake moving forward, you should buy soon.
No, it isn't. McCrainie's is a single crop product. The 40th is not. Although processed and tinned by McClelland, McCrainie's sourced their single crop from a different farm than McClelland. They're all great blends and if you like red Virginia, you can't go wrong with any of these.
Better to quit procrastinating and get some of this great product now than have regrets down the road.
Buy now while there's stock. You can always sell it in 8 to 10 years for a lot more than you paid for it. Or not...
Dangit guys, I already have 36 tins in the cellar, and you went and made order more. Off to figure out where I saw my checkbook last, ha ha. I barely ever use that thing.
