Can someone explain the different label colors used on several of McClelland's lines? I have the grey on almost all of my McC tins, but I have seen the red and green around. Do these denote blend type? If so, what is what?
Thanks!

Tried that, apparently not hard enough...
Brown: Matured Virginias

Black: Personal Reserve

Green: Orientals

Red: Cigar Blends (other than Christmas Cheer)

There is a line of Green label, Brown label and Black label blends. The Green isn't real popular but they are Oriental/Virginia for the most part. You can find tins with quite a lot of age on them from time to time. I happen to like #8.
The Brown label features Virginia #22 and #27. Both a pretty exceptional broken flakes. Number 24 is a fantastic Virginia/ Drama blend.
The Black label features St. James Flake, an outstanding VaPer and Bombay Court, a must have Oriental blend with a dabble of Latakia. Navy Cavendish is one flies under the radar but is cellar worthy.
I could live with an assortment from these three genres exclusively.
