So guys I am 2 months into the hobby.......
Pipes Aquired:
Missouri Meer Kolonel
Missouri Meer Legend
Missouri Meer Country Gentleman
Missouri Meer Ozark Mtn. Cherry Wood
Dr. Grabow Duke
No-name cherrywood churchwarden
Tobaccos bought/tasted
East India Cellar Reserve
East India Royal Challenge
East India Officers Club
Cult Blood Red Moon
Dunhill Nightcap
Frog Morton Cellar
PS 302 Black Cherry Cavendish
PS Luxury Navy Flake
PS Luxury Bullseye Flake
P&C Locked Out
So far loving the journey. Was scared of the latakia and perique until smoking frog morton then transferred to nightcap and found that I am not sensitive to perique. Feels good to be able to step out of aros as most new guys struggle with the transition.
Week 1-2 everything tasted like ash and I couldnt hold onto the pipe ever (to hot). Harnessed the technique, and now no tongue bite, cool pipe, tasting the tobacco, and i can keep my pipe lit all night on 1-2 lights.
Special thanks thus far to a few people:
mso489 for the kind works and often provided advice
pipesmokingtom for the laughs on anything i post
booker for helping with cob related questions
jkrug for being supportive and always chiming in to guide or discuss
newbroom for just telling it like it is
I am sure there are many I have forgotten. The journey has been great! Going to my first pipe club in 2 weeks in Grand Rapids Michigan (gentleman of the briar) and have plans to meet up with the detroit group that jkrug is apart of!
