Morta AEROBilliard from Neatpipes! Luca and I discussed having an AEROBilliard made in Morta and this is it.

fishbanjo, I've always been fascinated with the compact powerful pipe design. I guess this is a billiard, but it is

a class by itself among billiards. This looks fun to smoke -- wrong word, fun, but I can't quite summon a better.

I like the texture and the stubby stem. You have a dazzling collection. How do you decide which to smoke,

of a morning? You need one of those carnival wheels to spin, if you could find one with enough numbers to

cover your pipes.

It's by whim and what tobacco I feel like is how I choose. Also what I'll be drinking. Since this is an inside Calabash System and a nosewarmer I'm very anxious to get it in hand and smoke it.

banjo, nice pipe! Would you care to tell us a little about how morta smokes vs. briar? If I recall correctly, you have several morta pipes in your collection. Many thanks -- and congrats on the acquisition!

Morta is neutral, i.e. it is the wood equivalent to either a clay pipe or a meerschaum, there can be some added flavor from the Morta in the beginning but I have found it minimal. Morta can be smoked repeatedly and while some say it truly is for Latakia I tend to disagree and I've found it works very well with VA's and Vapers bringing out an element in the smoke with a clean and pleasant experience. Morta can also get hot but cools very quickly as well.

I have 6 in my rotation at the moment and each is unique but all smoke extremely well.

Thanks for that, banjo. I've never heard anyone describe the smoking properties of morta before, so that's great information. I've just begun exploring the clay pipe and really like its neutral qualities for VA's and VaPers -- perhaps I should begin more closely at morta as well.

Beautiful piece, I'm usually more for the churchwarden end of the spectrum but some of the nosewarmers I've seen have been peaking my interest.

That pipe is just about the most amazing thing I have seen! I hope it smokes a quarter as well as it looks, man. o)

:worship: I have been eyeing the Aerobilliard design for a while and this is just nothing short of beautiful. I always enjoy seeing the pictures of your acquisitions; you have exquisite taste in pipes and I one day hope to have a collection half as nice as yours. Simply stunning. Well done!

I did a Seven Morta Smoke Report on the Smokers Forum the link is 7 Morta Pipe Report I was asked by the owner to do it since I owned a few Morta Pipes, I chose 6 y/o Anniversary Kake as the tobacco to smoke in each one as it has been said Morta is best for Latakia and not VA's. Hopefully you'll enjoy the article. I wasn't sure it was correct cross posting it here.
