Hey all,
I have read often that different tobaccos taste differently in different pipes. What I would like to know is how do you go about testing combinations? I have 2 pipes and a good number of tobacco blends and (because I only smoke one pipe a day and alternate pipes and tobaccos with reckless abandon) I have not been able to notice a difference between pipes.
Could anybody give me a method for taste-testing tobaccos in different pipes? Any other advice is appreciated as well.
Thanks!

I read the article and understand the big picture of what he was doing, but he never stated his strategy for taste testing

Your best bet I think, would be to pick a tobacco and try that same tobacco in all of your pipes whilst taking note of the differences. Some pipes just work better with different cuts and tobacco.
