    I kept wanting a pipe roll but I didn’t think they were worth the money. Hobby challenge! So I decided to pay a visit to a leather store. Bought a hide and some tools for $35 and voila!

    Awesome! When you go to "paste" the address, delete http:// and then paste your pic address. That will get your pics up on your post.

    Why did you choose such thick hide? Looks not easy to roll up.

    Not the sweet, new grass with flowers is this harvesting of mine;
    Not the upland clover bloom...

    Wax it up, work it a bit and it'll get supple. Give it a few months of use.

    Yep, like a baseball glove. We used to rub Neatsfoot Oil into our new baseball gloves to soften them up and break them in.

    Sewing leather is work. Great job. The leather will soften up with work and use.
