Mac Baren HH Latakia Flake

I just scored a 2014 tin of this at my B&M recently.
I grabbed it because I've been greatly enjoying the other HH line items I've tried.
I didn't do my normal research before buying. My understanding of the HH line was that the theme was "just tobacco".
I was surprised to learn, after purchase, that there is apparently a maple "binder" used.
I'm sure it will be a nice smoke, however, I've generally avoided the "aro's".
Need I designate a separate pipe over ghosting concerns, or will this blend live harmoniously in my normal latakia pipes?

I smoked some of the original release, and it reminded me of "And So To Bed". You should be able to smoke it in a Latakia pipe with no detrimental ghosting.

The maple binder is barely evident in the smoke. There's nothing to worry about.

I love HH Latakia Flake. Jim's right, I would have never guessed it used a maple binder, as you don't notice it at all. Just smoke it in a latakia pipe.

I'm sure it will be a nice smoke, however, I've generally avoided the "aro's".

You like Black Frigate, HHLF is way less 'aro' than BF.

I think Yoda is referring to the rum component.
I have one pipe for the Frigate, Pirate Kake and, when I get to it, Blockade Runner.
I'm also still sitting on the following because of the somewhat "aro" aspects:
Carter Hall

Stonehenge

Grandma's Kitchen
Some day I'll get into them, but for now, I'm really focused on un-topped stuff.

HH Latakia Flake is one of my favorite blends. It's a great Latakia blend. Not over-powering, just smooth and mellow.
