Hi All,
I've been smoking a pipe for a little less than a year now, and I've tried a handful of blends. Some of those blends I've tried have been English blends. I've had Frog Morton on the Bayou, and a house blend a friend of mine shared with me. I thoroughly enjoyed those two smokes. What I'm looking for now are some names of some tobaccos I can try out or sample, just to expand my palate for English blends.
Any help is appreciated!

Dunhill 965, Dunhill Nightcap, Dunhill Early Morning pipe are all great blends.

I assume someone will reply with some baccy for you. Until then you always have the below. Just get your self some small glass jars to put your baccy in.

Try the rest of the Frogs too, they're very good.

As for some other really good ones, here are a few of my favorites;
McClelland Balkan Blue (formerly Blue Mountain)

Boswell's Northwoods

Sam Gawith Balkan Flake and Navy Flake

Butera Pelican (if you can find it)

H&H Black House

H&H Mazatec

Mac Baren HH Latakia Flake

As always, these threads quickly fill up with great suggestions. Just to add something not yet mentioned, I'd say McClelland 3 Oaks Syrian, G.L. Pease Westminster and Quiet Nights, Peterson Old Dublin and Sutliff Bosphorus Cruise. There are so many great blends to enjoy. Have fun discovering them!

All good suggestions ... here's a few more:
Lancer's Slices

Presbyterian Mixture

HH Vintage Syrian

Balkan Supreme

GLP Westminster, Quiet Nights, Chelsea Morning

H&H Larry's Blend, 10 to midnight, WhiteKnight
There are so many good English / Balkan blends that this list could go on and on.

Once you nail down a few that you really like, we can try to steer you a little more directly.

Enjoy the journey and welcome to the forum! :puffy:

pipesandcigars Hearth and Home Chestnut; Sutliff Westminster (in addition to GL Pease Westminster!); Cornell & Diehl Stratfordshire; and Nat Sherman 536 are all pleasing English blends in my experience.

Great to see so many recs for Old Dublin. It's been an under-the-radar winner and a favorite of mine for nearly 20 years.

Wow, thank you all for your many replies! That's a lot of tobacco to keep in mind. I hope I get the chance to try them all!

Second on all the suggestions for Dunhill and GL Pease, every one is worth trying to get a general overview of what English and Balkan blends are all about.
