Any stamping other than the brand? Red Point sounds U.S. made, but the design looks German influenced, a little like a beer stein and also with the wild deer carving. Sometimes pipes done up with wind caps and carving look like they've been made for decor rather than smoking, but this one looks like it was actually made to smoke. I like the sitter aspect.

That's not a wild deer, it's a chamois, and it is definitely a German design - I mean the cap is specific for tyroliche pipes, and the chamois is quite emblematic for the alps and the Carpathian mountains. Although ... Red Point does not ring a bell ...

It looks to me rather like some of the pipes made by Kemperling. They are an Austrian company that makes pipes and other wood carved products (crucifixes etc). I have one with similar carvings which I will post later today when I have time.

Thanks everyone.

Nice to see I was missed..lol

I've just been living. Still smoking.

Haven't bought much baccy or pipes. Just content with working on what I have.

Opened a container of BBF a few weeks ago and found bloom. That was a nice surprise.

:)
