Longmire series (books)

Over the past weekend I started the first book of the Longmire series. I wasn't a big fan of the A&E series; it was OK but I didn't get hooked.

I'm really enjoying book though.

Anyone else a fan? Does the series hold up?

I wasn't too keen on it at first, but I came to really like it after watching several episodes. Kinda sneaks up on you.

I didn't realize there were books! Never watched the show either but I have been in need of a new books series to start.

The books and the series differ, although I think the series is good. My biggest problem is with the Henry Standing Bear character. I like Lou Diamond Phillips, but I don't think he gets brings the power, capability and violence Henry has in the books.

I watched the first season when it was on Sundays nights. Haven't seen the 2nd since they moved it to another night. I thought it was good TV and enjoyed the Longmire character.
