Thank you for posting your thoughts - I am just being acquainted with the Peretti blends.

Tonight - thanks to Rickpal I tried Cuban Mixture which I thought was pretty good. Has cigar leaf in it (natch) and the overall taste is smooth without being overbearing. Will have to order more once my sample is gone.

I am eagerly awaiting a shipment that will include Tashkent & B94 - plus 4 ounces of Royal Blend (One of my favorite English Blends) and #432 a Cavendish blend with a smidge of latakia and Coconut essence.

Keep on posting updates on what you think about the blends - that is how I get my inspiration to try new things.

Ps if you love a full flavored English - Try Smith's Own.

Just had the 1072, really liked this burley blend...

As they list on their site:
In honor of our 140th Anniversary, we are pleased to introduce our newest Burley, "1072". An exquisite Burley blend, "1072" is has a deep, rich taste. Delicious and profoundly satisfying.

Also just put out some London flake and Omega for some dry-time/smoke'in tomorrow. They both smell amazing in the tin

Yes Rickpal I do like it. Don't know if I will order a lot more - but it certainly deserves a good solid try - maybe 2 - 4 more ounces. Finished off my evening with 1/2 bowl of Peretti's Royal Mixture and followed by a 1/2 bowl of 432 - I just love 432. But then I am absolutely nuts about the taste of coconut. When I was in Hawaii - I had Macadamia nut pancakes with hot coconut syrup. Absolute heaven.

Maybe I should acquire some L.J. Peretti blends to smoke in my new L.J. Peretti pipe

Smith's Own is a Lat Bomb for sure and a super blend if you're into Latakia.
333 or BPC are hard to beat for Burley's
Tashkent is a fantastic Oriental Blend.
Those are some of my favs.
But it's all so much personal preference.
    Enjoy what you like.

Just had a nice bowl of D-7485 in a Sav Saturnia 111KS, a GREAT blend...if you like SPC Plum Pudding or H&H Black House you will really like this Peretti blend

    From Peretti's website on D-7485:
A masterpiece of the blender's art. A blend that lends itself to gracious living. This blend of a number of tobaccos smokes cool and mild. Made originally for the late Hon. Ramsay MacDonald. Considered by many to be a perfect "all day smoke"

    Next up...tomorrow w/sunrise will be Omega...stay tuned

Today - my order came in - I tried - Peretti's B-94 followed by Tashkent in a Aldo Morelli Hawkbill. The B-94 is a rum soaked full bodied burley blend - very tasty. The Tashkent is an English with Orientals - no Va's or Burleys. Very, very heavy - not for Wimps!

I've smoked Peretti's blends for years. Some of my favorites include D-7485, Cuban Mixture, BPC, and Park Square.

Funny that Peretti's got me started in piping in '61 during college. But I gravitated to 759 and Nightcap/Aperitif.965 so fast I never looked at those big jars. I'm now making up for lost time: everytime I got to Boston, I make it a point to hit Peretti's several times. I'm working my way through their huge list of blends that they have been doing for decades. Quite a few have made it to my Top100 Cellar. In fact on one of my visits, I lucked into Docwatson and we had a wonderful time sampling out of the jars. Doc sure knows a lot about our sport.
