I think the name says it all. Post a life lesson of yours.
Since I'm a dairy farmer, I'll start with animal husbandry. No matter how much you think you know about them, they'll always teach you something new. Whether what may befall them in illness or what the true meaning of patience is. Or maybe they will teach you how precious life is.

Mine is simple. You can learn something new every day from everyone. From kids to older people there are always lessons to be learned. It took me 63 years to get it but better late than never.

"When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years." -- author unknown

That even if you *can* get it all figured out, finally become cool enough to know, you die and are erased from the planet with the billions upon billions who have come before you. So enjoy your life, enjoy your tobacco, and smile now and then that if you *don't* get it all figured out, it just.. doesn't... matter.
Ecclesiastes 1English Standard Version (ESV)
All Is Vanity

1 The words of the Preacher,[a] the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
2 Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher,

vanity of vanities! All is vanity.

3 What does man gain by all the toil

at which he toils under the sun?

4 A generation goes, and a generation comes,

but the earth remains forever.

5 The sun rises, and the sun goes down,

and hastens[c] to the place where it rises.

6 The wind blows to the south

and goes around to the north;

around and around goes the wind,

and on its circuits the wind returns.

7 All streams run to the sea,

but the sea is not full;

to the place where the streams flow,

there they flow again.

8 All things are full of weariness;

a man cannot utter it;

the eye is not satisfied with seeing,

nor the ear filled with hearing.

9 What has been is what will be,

and what has been done is what will be done,

and there is nothing new under the sun.

10 Is there a thing of which it is said,

“See, this is new”?

It has been already

in the ages before us.

11 There is no remembrance of former things,[d]

nor will there be any remembrance

of later things[e] yet to be

among those who come after.

Johnnyreb I believe your quote is from Mark Twain.
It is often attributed to him but it can not be sourced to him. Mark Twain's father died when Twain was just 17 yrs old; Twain himself died in 1910 & the quote first appeared in print in 1915.

What I've learned is that books are more interesting than people, and that I'll probably never stop thinking about women.

When you can't sway the case with facts you must attack the science. Criminal defense lawyers do this all the time.
