LHS Sterncrest - One For The Resto Box (Pic Heavy)

Some of you are aware that I have a penchant for stubby bent Rhodesians and Bulldogs. I also collect British factory pipes. Well in my nightly perusal of eBay I saw this little gem. Stem and bit are in good condition, the ring is original and sterling, and the shape is awesome. I would call the pipe a keeled Rhodesian, the pipe has lovely grain, with only two fills on the back of the rim.
I think it will clean up nicely. What do you think? Does anyone have experience with LHS pipes as smokers?

Pruss, I have a LHS pipe. A cavalier called a "Bavarian". It's a fine smoking pipe, my wife picked up for me as a gift. However, LHS

Is an American pipe company.

I think you should send me that pipe, I'm not sure you'll like it.... :lol:

I see where you're coming from Jason, but just 'cause I collect British factory pipes doesn't mean I'm averse to Yankee pipes!
I'm glad to hear that yours smokes well. That gives me hope. I look forward to putting this little burner into rotation with my Kaywoodies, Sasienis, and Kb&b pipes.

I was watching that one. Can't remember if the auction ended while I was at work or if the bidding went too high At any rate I would have loved to have won that one! I have several LHS pipes and so far they are all keepers. Yours looks like it will clean up really nicely. Congrats!

shhhhh, LHS pipes are drilled straight on and smoke great, but dont tell anyone, they are still pretty cheap.

I just won another LHS this morning. I'm not huge on carved bowls, but this one should be fun to spiff up. I figure at $6.99 I can't loose. Right?

Pruss great looking pipe! That shape reminds me of the Medico Jet Stream. I hope it smokes well for you and I expect some pictures once you've got it restored!

Totally! I picked this pipe up with a beaten Digby Canadian, all in with shipping for $20. So I'm happy with my investment.
