Found a white leather wrapped pipe at an antique shop. Nomenclature is Parker France. It has a twin bore stem....anyone heard of such a thing?

Those leather wrapped pipes became very popular with American GI's toward the end of WW II and into the 1950's. Generally, they were wrapped because of cosmetic flaws in the briar but they smoked well.

I remember those pipes from the 1950's, not Parkers that I could recognize specifically, but the leather wrapped were very popular, seen a lot on the commuter train platforms, very suave. For some reason, the twin bore has stuck around the English pipe community until even now. I have a Britannia that is twin bore, but it has served me well, and both airways accept a pipe cleaner to the bowl, so it's good. I bought it new about seven years ago, roughly ... a smooth quarter bent Dublin with an oval shank, no leather.
