The bright reds and oranges of early autumn have given way to copper and gold and most of the leaves have fallen from the trees. Still on a warm day with a bright sun and deep blue sky the woods is a fine place to spend an afternnoon.
The leaves of the Ash tree are tenacious and they stick around the longest. Backlit from the sun above the Ashes cast a warm golden glow into the forest. I took these photographs with my cell phone while the RoadQueen and I explored a county park.
A bowl of GL Pease Gaslight in my Dunhill Canadian with windscreen installed went perfect with the walk.
