The bright reds and oranges of early autumn have given way to copper and gold and most of the leaves have fallen from the trees. Still on a warm day with a bright sun and deep blue sky the woods is a fine place to spend an afternnoon.

The leaves of the Ash tree are tenacious and they stick around the longest. Backlit from the sun above the Ashes cast a warm golden glow into the forest. I took these photographs with my cell phone while the RoadQueen and I explored a county park.

A bowl of GL Pease Gaslight in my Dunhill Canadian with windscreen installed went perfect with the walk.

Beautiful pics, Mike! Myself, I've been walking around beautiful Gatlinburg TN this weekend, enjoying bowl after bowl! This is by far my favorite time of year to be outside with a pipe, or for any other reason for that matter!
