Just one week from today the Chicago Show will open at 10 AM on Saturday May 14th in the Pheasant Run Mega Center in St. Charles Illinois. As most of you know, we actually get under way on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. The smoking tent will open around noon on Wednesday, and will stay open until the early hours on Monday, May 16th. The Charatan and Dunhill Focus Groups will both be held on Thursday. The free pre-Show is on Friday, and so is the free buffet dinner banquet. Saturday is the much anticipated 2011 Balkan Sobranie 759 Throwdown at 5pm in the smoking tent followed by the Annual pipe and cigar dinner (a few tickets still available for $65 each). Sunday is the United Pipe Clubs of America USA National Slow Smoking Championship in the tent. There are many other events so please see the full 2011 Show schedule on our website:

Many of the big name pipe makers from around the world are going to be at the show. I can’t name them all here, so I won’t name any. But, if your favorite pipe carver is from Austria, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Sweden or the USA, there is a very, very good chance he or she will be at the 2011 Show.

Pipesmagazine.com has its own table this year. Table 826. Be sure to stop by and say hello to the Pipe Babe and all the other celebrities of this great website.

One last commercial message for Pheasant Run Resort: PLEASE, make your hotel registration at Pheasant Run, if you haven't done so already. There are so many good reasons to stay at Pheasant Run. First of all it gives you the best access to all the Show events, it allows you to stay in the smoking tent as late as you want to and to drink all that you want to, without the worry of driving to another hotel, it gives you the best access to all the rooms that are open for sales and visiting, and most of all, IT HELPS THE SHOW because we have a minimum room requirement at Pheasant Run. You can make your room reservations at http://www.pheasantrun.com or you can call at 800-474-3272.
Mention the show to get the show rate and to make sure we get credit for your reservation.

Yeah, it's not cool if you don't stay at Pheasant Run Resort. It's pretty luxurious without the luxurious rates, and the show and the club deserve the support.

Craig, please reserve a Saturday night dinner ticket for me. I'll pay you cash when I get there on Wednesday.

    Thanks Craig.

For anyone that is going to the show, the Saturday night dinner is well worth it. There may still be a few tickets left. You get a bunch of goodies - cigars, tobacco and other stuff. Last year there was live music, awards and speeches, along with great food and drink.
