I picked up a 1oz bulk package of TK-6 in my last TAD order. The initial bowl or two were underwhelming. I am pretty sure I was smoking it too wet. In the meantime I discovered the magic of Latakia and Perique with some English blends: My Mixture 965 and Nightcap are amazing! These are go-to tobaccos for me.
After coming back to TK-6 a couple weeks later and drying it out quite a bit, I am pleasantly surprised with the improvement. Nicely sweet taste with just a hint of cherry. I am getting a good tobacco flavor as well. I have been retrohaling quite a bit lately, maybe that's brought the flavor out?
In memory of Grandpa S any other cherry blend recommendations would be much appreciated,
