Anything Laguiole rings my chimes, but this is gorgeous. A little more than I'd spend, but
admirable in every way. My Laguiole basic wooden handled pocket knife, with a bee figure
on the hilt and the artisan's name on the blade, is my one most treasured souvenir from
France, and such a capable knife. The other is a cheese knife my wife brought with her,
with a fine green handle and that same solid quality.

Fish - I have been eyeing this at Al Pascia but so far have resisted. They look great. Not sure how much longer I can hold out.

Nothing against Al Pascia as I have purchased from them and been more than pleased but Bolito Pipes price nailed it for me.

Thanks for the tip fish. I do subscribe to the Bollito newsletter but didn't know they carried the Laguiole Pipe Tool. I just ordered one.
Al Pascia had three listed the other day, $106 each I believe, they sold fast at that price.

I own two, and use nothing but those two. They are the best investment I've made since pipe smoking. Both were bought at Al Pascia, but they go really quickly.

Acttually I believe the Al Pascia ones were 106 euros, or about US$145. What I like about Bollito is they ship by mail, so no ugly Fedex "custom fee" surprises.
fish, that is a beauty. I just found my birthday present to myself next month. I used to have a pretty set of steak knives from Laguiole but lost them in the divorce. They make some great looking products. Thanks for the tip on where to buy them, like peck, I dislike having to pay Fedex their silly little fees after I have bought something overseas.
I got one of these and love it. The rounded edge on the scraper is perfect for popping open tins as well.
just got one of these myself.. the dollar has gotten better vs the euro.. as of fri, 106 euros is $118 @ .89 exchange..

Ordered one Sunday a week ago from Bolitti pipe shop, I think I spelled it wrong, from Turin Italy, to Meaux La 3 days, DHL shipping, got the Black one, very pleased with workmanship.
Considering this is still active I figured I'd pipe in again! of all the different, and elegant pipe tools I own, this is the one most used so it figures it would be the one I lost! so off to Bolito Pipe I went once again and got the last one in stock, again with a horn handle but the back is different, hopefully I will keep better track of this one.
