Just had to brag on him!!

My youngest son (14) pitched a heck of a game tonight in middle school baseball.

He had 10 strikeouts with 2 thrown out at first against a very good undefeated team.

He was backed up well by his team who let nothing get by them.

It was the team they lost their district championship to last year.

Late last year he told me it was his goal to pitch a no hitter against this team.

I told him it doesn't mean anything until he writes it down. So he did and stuck the goal on our refrigerator.

Guess the kid knows how to keep his word.

I'll stop bragging now.

OH, yes. And fastballs I'd have a tough time catching up to now days.
I recall there was some age that it was said a boy was likely to ruin his arm/wrist/fingers starting curves too early.

Congrats. Baseball is the greatest sport on earth.
After lacrosse, soccer, hockey!

Thanks guys, I will tell him you folks said good job.

jpmcwjr, yes they throw curves at that age. His breaking ball is scary.

The boy has always, even when very young, absolutely loved baseball.

He will spend hours throwing a tennis ball against the brick wall of my house.

If he's not doing that he is in my driveway with a plastic bat hitting gravel or acorns into my yard.

The gravel thing drives me crazy, but I generally let him have at it.

That is a big deal and congratz to him. I'd be proud as a peacock. I remember my son in little league hitting a game winning home run...those make for some great memories.
