    The best example of its kind I've ever seen.

    Wow, those look spectacular! Item watched. Might have to get some popcorn and watch the sniping ensue with an hour to go. Already with 20 bids at over a thousand and it still had almost a week left. It'll be interesting.

    $400 a piece, for patent era blasts, seems about right. Their condition, and the fact that they're a cased set will add a premium. How much of a premium beyond their values individually is what we'll soon find out. I'll guess they'll close at $2K for the set, but that's totally just a guess...

    Yeah, I’ve got this one saved on my watch list already. No doubt a great set that will head into the stratosphere.

    Fun to watch like watching a Barret Jackson auto auction. Things I would love to own but could never get past my wife.

    It the stems didn't have the Reg no stamped on them, I'd be suspicious. Those buttons look gi-normous! I predict $2642 for the set.

    A little heavy, crunchy on the photo sharpening, but not a bad looking trio....

    I'd guess at around $4500 for the set. Condition is superb on all pipes as well as the case. If it doesn't hit at least the high 3's I'd be surprised. Right now there are no serious bids.

    My thinking as well. I wouldn't give more than $1500 for the set.

    @davidy97.
    Yes, but I still want them
    I think the seemingly large bits on some of the pictures, may also have to do with the usual wideangle perspective distortion. Perhaps they did not use a proper lens for shooting these pipes, as we see so often here and everywhere....
    To see all the pictures of the case etc. you have to go to the description page below and if only looking with a mobile OS, then it is not that easy to see all the pictures.

    I'm hoping to win the lottery tonight or tomorrow and then I'll place the winning bid. LOL.

    I don't care if the bits look a little large, they are still beautiful pipes.

    I put in a bid just to say I did. Not much danger of being successful at this level! However, I am tempted to put together a syndicate for a serious effort. I am thinking Embers should be good for it. Anyone else?

    Provenance would be a plus, but maybe asking Chance privately would provide that. In the early days of eBay, things like this appeared frequently from sources who were totally unknown to the hobby and caused lots of excitement. The economy is strong, the market is more international than it has ever been, and thosee are fine looking pipes from a reputable seller. Certainly over 2K, but I expect an upside breakout. Only takes 2 bidders

    Color me confused.

    You think the stems aren't legit? Wouldn't be comfortable? Are merely black rubber instead of something truly attractive like glitter-infused, turquoise and chartreuse polkadot-swirl hand-cast acrylic?
