I was wondering if the Middle-Earth blends were worth a try. I have been considering ordering a sample pack but would like to hear some people's thoughts on it. My biggest fear is that it will be nothing but bad blends with cool/gimmicky names (which would certainly not do the finest pipe weed in the southfarthing any justice).

They definitely are.
I have Shortcut to Mushrooms (excellent English blend, very much highly acclaimed on this forum) and Treebeard (an aromatic)

I've had Treebeard and Longbottom Leaf. Both good quality aromatics. Definitely worth a try.

These are good quality blends -- Shortcut to Mushroom is an all-time classic. The rest are fairly good, as well, especially if you're willing to try aromatics.

Just had some Shortcut to Mushrooms the other night (after not having it for a long time) and remembered how good it is. It's a very simple, earthy blend but it really hits the spot. Have to try the others.
