Just Finished - Freehand Bent Dublin with Partial Plateaux Rim

    I just thought I would share a few pics of this FBD. It has some nice grain and has only one small, superficial flaw on the right hand side.

    Nice work Chris!
    So glad to see that you got a decent piece of briar and that you were able to get this out of it.
    I'd like to see more angle shots of the bowl/rim.

    I'm a big fan of partial plateau myself. I think it adds a level of character that a fully smooth, or fully plateau rim doesn't have, not that either are bad ( I love those too). I'm currently finishing one up I carved for my brother in law for Christmas with a partial plateau rim. I'll post photos when finished.

    I like that the pipe is relatively trim and still has the deep chamber and plateau of a showy freehand. I'm glad this Danish influence is back.
