Here are my reviews of the five new Villiger Export series, which are sold in pouches.
Villager English Export:

The smokey, woody Cyprian latakia takes a mild lead over the other components. The earthy, tangy dark fruit sweet red Virginia is the base of the blend, and is crowded out just a little by the earthy, nutty, molasses sweet burley. The buttery sweet, lightly sour and musty Smyrna underscores the experience. There a couple pinches of plumy, spicy perique in the mix as well. There’s a slight sweet topping, perhaps sugar, but it doesn’t tone down the tobaccos much at all, and is barely noticeable. The nic-hit is mild. The strength and taste levels are mild to medium. No chance of bite or harshness. Burns at a moderate pace, cool and clean with a rather smooth, very consistent flavor all the way through. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires few relights. Has a pleasant, smoky sweet after taste, and the room note won’t displease anybody, which is not always the case for an English blend. Three and a half stars out of four.
Villiger Jamaican Export:

The Virginias have some grass, citrus, and a touch of dark fruit. The earthy, nutty, molasses sweet burleys play a supporting role. The fruity, buttery sweet rum is very obvious and has a mild spice note, which indicates Jamaican rum is present, too. I also sense an extremely light essence of cocoa here and there. The toppings do sublimate the tobaccos, though all work well together to create a very smooth, consistent flavor from start to finish. The nic-hit is very light. The strength is very mild, and the taste level is mild. No chance of bite, and has no dull or harsh moments. Burns at a moderate pace, cool and clean as it burns to ash with few relights, and leaves little moisture in the bowl. The after taste and room notes from the rums lingers a short while. An easy going all day smoke.
Villiger New World Export:

The Virginias offer some earth, grass, dark fruit, and light citrus. They form the base of the blend. The nutty, molasses sweet burley plays an important second lead, and also has a little earth and cocoa. The black cavendish provides some brown sugar in the background. The gold cavendish provides bread and honey notes. The vanilla toppings mildly leads over the cocoa, and tones down the tobaccos without totally muting them, although the tobaccos do peek out a little more in the last quarter of the experience. I also sense a hint of marshmallow. The nic-hit is mild. The strength level is just past mild, while the taste barely passes the mild to medium threshold. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns at a moderate pace, cool and clean with a smooth, mostly consistent flavor from start to finish as it easily burns to the last ember. Requires few relights, and leaves little moisture in the bowl. Has a very pleasant after taste and room note. An all day smoke.
Villiger Original Export:

The gold Virginia is lightly grassy and citrusy while the red Virginia provides some dark fruit and earth as both varietals form the base of the blend. The red is a little more obvious. The nutty, molasses sweet burley offers able support. The sugary black cavendish may have a little vanilla as it underscores the experience. The vanilla and mild spice toppings have some richness, and are more noticeable than the cocoa. While they tone down the tobaccos a little, they tend to work in tandem to create a fairly smooth, very consistent flavor from start to finish. The nic-hit is mild. The strength is mild, and the taste level is a step above that. Won’t bite or get harsh even when pushed. Burns at a moderate pace, cool and clean, and burns to ash with few relights. Leaves little moisture in the bowl. Has a pleasantly sweet and mildly spicy after taste and room note. Can easily be an all day smoke.
Villiger Tropical Export:

The gold and red Virginias are grassy with some citrus, dark fruit and a little earth and drop or two of citrus. The sweetened black cavendish has a little sugar, and an undercurrent of vanilla in the background. The peach and mango toppings have some richness, and seem almost equal in their respective amounts. They do sublimate the tobaccos to a fair extent, though you will notice the inherent aspects of the Virginias. The nic-hit is mild. The strength is mild and the taste is a shade closer to medium than it is to mild. Burns at a reasonable pace, cool and clean with a very smooth, consistent flavor from top to bottom. Won’t bite or get harsh, and you can burn every strand of tobacco. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and needs few relights. Has a very pleasing after taste and room note. A easy going all day smoke that doesn’t over power or wear out its welcome.

I ordered one pouch of each of these and have been smoking through them. Your reviews are spot on as usual. These are good blends at this price point IMHO. I have enjoyed them all and shared them with my pipe club. Everyone liked them and were surprised that they were as good as they were considering they come in a pouch and for the price. Thanks for the reviews.
