Jelling's was a tobacco shop in Newark, NJ tat sold pipes under it's own name. Most were made in New York but some were also made in England and Denmark. I suspect that this is a US pipe since it's stamped Imported Briar. The folks at Blue Room Briars got some of the old unsmoked pipes and put them on their site last week I jumed on this one right away. It joins my Jelling Natural Zulu from the early 1960's.

Nice pipe. What is the logo on the stem? I don't mean to be vulgar, but from here, it looks like a man standing with arms folded across his chest and a giant hard on. Not the worst idea for a logo, but...

I have to admit that even with a magnifier I can't tell what the logo is supposed to be. Since it was for a store in Newark,NJ mayfair could be right.
