How long was it jarred and how long did you let it breath before smoking. I've found with aged blends that like wine sometimes they need a little breathing time. It seems to my mouth that the critters that make them age also seem to make some blends harsh if they aren't given time to "Air out"

they are jarred about a year - will dump the jar on a plate to air out about an hour - usually i like a bit of moisture but if airing out works will try -

Did you wash out the jars before using them? The jars come with an anti-bacterial coating sprayed on the inside that stinks to high heaven.

yes always wash them dish liquid soap rinsed with scalding water.
will see if airing out helps but the stuff in the jars seems to be quite dry now even though the jars are all very tightened but do like a bit of moisture in my tobacco.

maybe too dry so may ad a water hydrating coin in one jar to test.

bought too much of this great stuff when it was discontinued to loose it now.
