Hello,
I was wondering if anyone on the forum is familiar with the current production 7oz. tins of 3-Star Blue tobacco from Iwan Ries? How is the tobacco packaged inside? Is it in a plastic bag? Are the tins the cardboard tube style with just a metal top and bottom?
I'm really curious how these would hold up for 2 to 10 years of cellaring?
Thanks for your input!

There's no bag. The tobacco and tin are made by Sutliff. The tin is food grade, and will last several years. I've had a lot of these tins have lasted seven years with no problems, but that depends on how you store them. If they stay in the house at room temp, you should have no problems. Ten years may likely be stretching it, but who knows? If it worries you, go ahead and jar it.
