So the Castello hallmark is worn off, but there is the diamond in-bedded in the stem. Everything looks right . But that bowl is a mess. Not sure if it would be worth the money to purchase this pipe...even though i have always wanted one!

It can probably be fixed. I've seen some hot messes restored to beautiful pipes by members on here. BUT it does look pretty rough, and I would pass myself.

It looks like the crack is 360 degrees, so probably a complete break. The bowl is in such bad shape that at this point it's hard to tell what's wrong with it. Even if the seller accepted a very low bid it would be pretty risky, I think. The only way I would do it is to make your payment be contingent on a restorer's/repairman's assessment that you would have something reasonably sturdy after his repair; but then you have to pay him! Better deals elsewhere, I think.
Why did the seller put this up for sale? Who's going to buy it, and if they did for very little money. Why not sell something someone will buy for more money?
