I didn't see a thread for the episode to post on so here it is.
You can search either users, if you know their name, or hashtags.
As far as hashtags go #tobaccopipecollector #TPC #tobaccopipes #artisanpipe etc. will yield results. Note: just pipes will yield a lot of glass pipes and other stoner pictures.
From there you can "follow" the person who posted the picture and then their posts will pop up in your feed.
Also, when you go to the "explore screen" where you can also search, it will pop up with pictures that are related to people you've followed or other pictures you've liked. That's how I've found dozens of unknown artisan carvers.
I wasn't a fan of much social media a year or two ago, but I absolutely love Instagram for the exposure it gives carvers.

In addition to the ones already mentioned, here are a few moref good hashtags for pipes on Instagram and Twitter:
#pipemaking

#pipepics

#tobaccopipes

#briarpipe

#indiepipes
Etc.
It's a boon for artisan exposure and collector research. It's fun and easy for both the poster and the looker, which is why it's so successful.
