I discovered a 20-25 year old tin of Navy Flake amongst some packed away stuff. Spent a few days slowly bringing some moisture into the flake. Not bad! Not bad at all, and it was never one of my favorites back then, which explains the 20 year oversight.

2 tins of Mac Baren. One tin had been opened. Both tins really, I mean REALLY dry. Handled the flakes with car and placed in a storage jar with 3 humistats. Took four days to get the blend to the consistency I like.

That's good to know for some of the guys who hold large stashes.

It sounds like the lids should be sealed with a bead of melted wax.

What do you think?
