I had the pleasure of visiting Independence Hall in Philadelphia recently and thought it was very cool seeing clay pipes on many of the desks where the Declaration of Independence was written. There were more than what I tried to highlight.

I've visited there and it is a remarkable restoration. And the Liberty Bell next door, and the Philly Mint up the street. I'm glad those gents had some tobacco to keep them cheered up. It was miserable hot weather, and they were stolid about staying fully and properly dressed, likely partly in wool no less, and wigs in many cases. Whew.
