Wow...this Baki Basketweave is truly stunning, imo. The PAD beast is howling, but unfortunately it's definitely not within budget parameters right now.

There are several more pics of it on the site:

That carving is absolutely exquisite. But ya, $400? Ouch.

Wow! That is a lot of detail.

Man cannot survive except through his mind. He comes on earth unarmed. His brain is his only weapon. But the mind is an attribute of the individual, there is no such thing as a collective brain. The man who thinks must think and act on his own. The reasoning mind cannot work under any form of compulsion. It cannot not be subordinated to the needs, opinions, or wishes of others. It is not an object of sacrifice. ~ Howard Roark (The Fountainhead ~ Ayn Rand 1943)

    Spectacular! Worth every penny.

I know what I need, smoke, I can't recall the last time I tasted it....Gandalf in the mines of Moria.

"we shall have to share pipes, as good friends must at a pinch'....'I keep a treasure or two near my skin, as precious as rings to me. Here's one: my old wooden pipe. And here's another an unused one...He held up a small pipe with a wide flattened bowl, and handed it to Gimli. 'Does that settle the score between us', said Merry. 'Most noble hobbit, it leaves me deep in your debt."

Oh man, that is a true work of art. Thanks for sharing, I think.

But now I'm stuck on that pipe.

LOL Bigboi! I think hmm... that's 10 lunches and a movie for two; 40 tins of tobacco; 2-3 really nice estate pipes... pondering these, the PAD slowly dissipates.

I have five Meerschaums carved by Mr. Baki, and I'd have to say, they are all top notch in every way.
