I'm somewhat new to the GH ropes. I bought some Sweet Coconut Twist a few weeks back and was fairly pleased with it. There was an obvious coconut aroma to the rope which, as reviews had prepared me for, I did not detect much throughout the smoke, but still an obvious "tin" note of coconut.
Today I received a new order of what is supposed to be the same rope, but it is entirely lacking the pleasant coconut aroma and instead has an almost soy sauce aroma and flavor. It's kind of gross.
I don't think this is the Lakeland contamination I've read about.
Does anyone have any input? Are the batch variations this extreme? I ordered from the same retailer I got the rope from the first time.

Yea I think the rope topping fades quickly when they aren't jarred. You might have got an older batch
